Our Journey

DMG’s journey began in 1963 in Rotterdam, founded by Maartense & Geluk as a ship-engine repair company serving the Dutch maritime industry

1963 - Founded

Established as a ship-engine repair specialist, delivering hands-on engineering services to vessels operating in Dutch ports.

1990 - Relocated & Expanded

Relocated to IJmuiden and merged with Douwstra, expanding capabilities into fishing, offshore, and industrial sectors.

2004 - Renamed

Expanded into winch maintenance, overhaul, cranes, and steel constructions.

2010s - Investments

Advanced hydraulic testing and engineering strengthened DMG as a full-service winch specialist.

2020s - Today

Recognized as a leading European winch service company across the North Sea region.
